HEIST: Get Rich or Die Trying
Forge in a Dark is an adult-friendly one-shot tabletop roleplaying video game that simulates classic film genres such as revenge, action and heist movies like the Fast and Furious series or high speed chase thrillers from The Lost Boys movie franchise (Gone 60 seconds). Players play characters involved in dangerous situations where they must work together to escape danger before time runs out. Game mechanics include character creation using a customizable cast catalog that allows players access different types of jobs, special abilities such as being able to steal cars or drive them at breakneck speeds during gameplay and the use of dice for combat rounds which can be used in any movie genre from action-adventure through sci-fi thrillers. Gameplay takes place on either a physical board with real race car models (if available) or digitally using an app that simulates racing tracks, requiring players to work together effectively during each playthrough and ultimately escape danger before time runs out within the allotted 2 hours for one player's turn in this single session game format played solo.
