Hex & The City is a role-playing game where players take control of monster hunters battling to
save their city from evil forces, while dealing with personal issues in between battles. There are
four player roles (leader/support) who work together during the story and make decisions that affect
other characters' storylines as well as combat mechanics such as dice rolling for damage dealt by
monsters or character abilities like special attacks called Hexes which require a certain number of
experience points to trigger after leveling up. The game is set in an alternate modern-day Los
Angeles with elements drawn from Urban Fantasy, Monster Fiction and Buffy the Vampire Slayer
franchises while its artwork was created using art deco designs inspired by old Hollywood
cinematography aesthetics as well as comic book panels for character profiles. Hex & The City can
be played solo or online against a group of players in sessions ranging between two to four hours
per game, with player roles and levels having different capabilities according to the level they are
playing at (e.g., low-level characters do less damage but have special abilities such as healing
