OSR fans are likely to recognize some mechanical concepts presented here, and fans of the popular fantasy ampersand RPG will certainly find at least one idea that can help with making combat faster & easier to run. These straight-forward combat rules were designed to fit within the confines of an index card, be easy to adapt into a pre-existing system, and offer enough stability to function as a standalone foundation.
