The quickstart Moonlight on Roseville Beach is an LGBTQ+ tabletop roleplaying game in which players protect a beach town from cosmic horrors, vindictive necromancers and fantastic beasts using their supernatural powers or magic abilities as sleuthy characters. Players choose different origins for the character to play out based on real-life stories of people who have moved there with past mistakes they want forgotten forever. The quickstart offers four origin story options: fresh faces, scandalous exes seeking a second chance in Roseville Beach; shift workers from other places moving here and finding work or new lives as locals heroes protecting the town's safety; witches using their powers for more than just Halloween celebrations but to take over local businesses with supernatural deals. The quickstart also includes job opportunities such as bartenders, gardeners, backup dancers among others in a simple d6 pool system that lets players choose between succeeding or failing at tasks and if they find clues along the way; there are even more mysteries available for GMs to use including mysterious phantoms interrupting drag queens' performances.
