A Cursory Guidebook To The Forest Hymn & Picnic is an introductory guide book with information about setting and mechanics of Shadow Of The Demon Lord game, including its core mechanic called Question And Answer roll. It also provides a brief overview of the forest environment where adventurers can find various challenges to overcome such as hiding from monsters or battling robbers in forests filled by strange creatures like ghosts which are often encountered when traveling through dense woods on highways that connect different towns and settlements scattered around the world. The guidebook offers three types of Forest Dwellers, including people who have been dropped into a new life situation with other dwellers due to fate's intervention, animals such as wolves or bears in wolf packs living among humans without any apparent issues except for their occasional hunting habits when they can find prey nearby and finally the Ghosts that haunt the forest causing fear amongst travelers.
