ALAAlas Vegas is an indie roleplaying game set in a mysterious casino city where players take on
amnesic characters trying to piece their past together while navigating high-stakes conflicts
between rival factions, uncovering secrets and facing old debts that threaten the fabric of reality.
The conflict mechanics are based on Tarot card gambling games played with rotating GMs, including
'Ala Las Vegas' itself which is set in a full 4x4 table game map featuring an oceanic environment as
well as three extra Fugue campaigns: Yeet Alasdaisy (fast time-travel), Warlock Kings (return of the
pagan gods) and Remece CoCosmic Man. The review quotes Jason Micail's review, praising its stunning
self-contained nature with a heck of narrative punch; Mike Seliinker mentions it as an excellent
indie RPG for gamers since Mouse Guard that he would recommend to anyone interested in writing RPGs
like Alan Wake which won the Best Written Roleplaying Game award this century. The designer himself
is James Wallis, known as 'the godfather of independent game design' and whose work includes Once
Upon a Time, Baron Munchausen Adventures, ParaNoiA: The New Order rebooted from House on Hill in
2017
