In "A Year of DanDelios," players take control as a first-time homeowner who has just purchased an acreage and is working towards self-sufficiency. They work on tasks around the home, journal about their experiences each week to reach future goals such as running a successful homestead or business endeavor later in life. The game requires block towers set up for gameplay with standard playing cards available at any time throughout playtime depending of player preference and length desired by setting aside adequate writing spaces within them.
