Magic Circle
Magic Circle is a tabletop role-playing game where players assume the roles of monsters living in suburban cul-de-sacs and must address neighborhood problems through collaborative teamwork, satire, absurdity, social commentary with an emphasis on racial tension between races depicted as humans who are either humanoid creatures or reptilian beings. The premise was created by Jason Morningstar and is a short story that takes place before the main game's timeline in order to provide context for its development, set up themes of racism and class differences among other issues relevant to suburban communities at different points throughout history such as slavery period (as depicted through some characters being slaves) or present day. The tone ranges from darkly comedic with mild satirical elements to more serious social commentary that addresses racial tensions in the real world during a time when it is increasingly important for individuals and groups of people, regardless if they are human beings, monsters living amongst humans, reptilian creatures among each other
