Exploratory Medicine is a medical simulation RPG where players take on the role of an experimental care unit in exploring avant-garde treatments for patients with various conditions such as hit by projectiles, parasites, rotten flesh afflicted disease etc. The game encourages creativity and risk taking while recording their findings to enhance knowledge about different diagnoses like dimensional healer or reilgious healers that use unconventional methods. As a medical professional player can create characters using the Stability Score method where they try out various treatments on patients with randomly generated conditions ranging from poor health to critical, some may even die during these procedures but players are encouraged not only be creative in their treatment attempts and save them through minimal complications as per your patient's condition stability score. The game also offers additional tables for random generation of characters like magical healers or the ones who can use psycho-tropic hallucinations on patients to aid healing processes, while enhancing gameplay with randomized tables that enhance player engagement by adding new features in character creation and treatments attempts along with enhanced information about various diagnoses.
