This text describes downtime procedures for generating ideas between gaming sessions to create
larger-scale quests set in a year scale using various games and platforms such as the OSSRP forum
(OSSRPG), an RPG website based on D&D 5e rules, or even standalone OSR game settings. The article is
written from multiple perspectives of different character types: Leader/Leader's Circle for solo
play experiences; PC members in a group-based online roleplaying game called "Cult" to experience
the power dynamic between their characters and the leaders they serve under that lead them into
battle, as well as providing players with tools to take control over ancient cities like Babyl. In
this article we provide examples of how these techniques can be applied for different gaming systems
using fictional names such as D&D 5e or OSR game settings depending on preference without
compromising creativity and realism in character development within the context of a larger year-
long time scale quests set within an OSSRP forum based RPG world.
