In a world of gods with varying abilities in manipulating mortals/immortals or even other deities themselves, there is an opportunity to play this game where one human worshipes and the deity must interact. This can lead up to some interesting conversations about power dynamics between beings that exist outside our daily reality for humans who might have very little understanding (or control) of them as gods in their own right with all sorts of different powers they wield on behalf of deities or mortals/immortals, depending upon the deity's abilities.
