In UMBRA (Universal Mechanized Bug Role-Playing Game), players take on bug knights and fight against an insect empire that threatens their way of life in Cradle, where every creature has its role to play under King Ashen's watchful rule. The game features fast combat using LUUMEN system technology. Each player selects a Knight House affiliation for personal representation as protector within the vast metropolis ruled by kingly Bugs and Bug Knights who serve their cause through various actions like battles in Cradle, defending its people from dangerous foes such as other bugs or invading forces while working together with allies to fight against evil powers that seek destruction. The game's Soul Art system allows players enhance their abilities for better protection of the kingdom they call home by collecting and unlocking new skills at each level up until reaching a maximum limit where characters grow stronger, increasing both defense and offense in battles. Weapons range from swords made outta bone to spears covered with spikes; ranged weapons are limited only when equipped while melee combat remains limitless regardless whether equipment is upgraded or not.
