The Dying World's new character is a spider-witch named Shabbath who has been trapped in the ruins of Mork Borg by Nechrubel (Dark Grandmother), another giant monster whom they have recently encountered on their travels together as part of an ongoing evil plot involving necromancy and arcane magic. In order to escape, she must make sacrifices that will grant her new powers: a clutchling is required for these offerings in exchange with the spider-witch's webbing market offering. Shabbath also harbors desires related to still living flesh after consuming it on their journey together through Mork Borg ruins and Nechrubel had drank all of its magic from the tree that resided there, making her a cultist worshipping necromancy alongside her pet monster companion which she refers to as "the evil-soaked" due to his insatiable hunger for still living flesh.
