"The Paranoid Conspiracy Theorist" follows an old man living in a small town who has become
obsessed with conspiracy theories and fears that his neighbors are planning to kill him for their
gold reserves. He discovers the existence of underground groups devoted to these beliefs, but is
reluctant to believe them until he receives threatening letters from one such group calling on him
to surrender all or risk being shot dead by members disguised as hunters in full camouflage gear
carrying weapons hidden behind a false wall outside his door that can only be seen through
binoculars. The protagonist also discovers an ancient artifact buried beneath the ground and
believes it is proof of extraterrestrial life, but when he shows this discovery to other residents
they laugh at him for being crazy until one day their car breaks down on them in front of a hidden
entrance leading into unknown territory where they are confronted by two men dressed as hunters
carrying weapons. The protagonist decides not go deeper than the main town and eventually returns
home with his new-found treasure, which he later burns to ashes after it becomes too dangerous for
him alone or anyone else who may be watching from afar through a nearby webcam placed on an old
computer monitor in front of the window looking out into their yard.
