Ghostbusters is a humorous role-playing game designed by Sandy Petersen, Lynn Willis (from the Call
of Cthulhu series), and Greg Stafford (also known for his work on RuneQuest). It was published in
1986 by West End Games. The system involves simple gameplay with six faces to choose from at each
turn, where players create characters that can move around a grid-like layout inspired by classic
films like Star Wars. Ghostsbusting requires four traits and talents: muscles, movement,
agility/coolness (ease), cool moves or special abilities in the game's ruleset of dice rolls for
various actions such as combat encounters with ghosts. The key to success is having good luck skills
when unexpected events arise during gameplay which can be solved by playing more cards from an extra
deck. Ghostbusters requires a physical card collection, each pack contains several ghost-themed
characters and locations in addition to the game's ruleset of dice rolls for various actions such as
combat encounters with ghosts.
