The narrator of the game is a goblin named "You", who narrates his adventures through scavenging discarded items such as triket glasses. He also describes how he lives in an inhospitable world where survival relies on finding shiny objects to sell or trade for food, and eventually gets caught up by other goblins at their lair after becoming stranded there due to being unable to find a way back home when they are separated from the group during one of his expeditions. The game is set against this backdrop with randomly generated elements such as terrain, encounters, enemies (goblins), items that can be found or obtained and used in various ways throughout playtime based on collective decision making among players at their table using a light-weight inventory system for managing resources while playing the tabletop roleplaying gaming.
