The letter prompts you to write about your relationship with a distant relative or former friend, asking questions such as "How did they impact my life?" and requiring responses of at least 10 sentences in length each for the recipient's side. There is no gameplay aspect beyond these prompts; however, ghostbox does require playing cards (standard decks) that you can make using standard card printing software with a photo background or image overlay on your computer screen to create an interactive gameboard interface similar to those of some other popular apps and games such as the app "PokerNight" which has become increasingly common in casinos across America.
