On an icy planet, workers are paid based on their number of hands. The more they work with the boss in his office (the Ice Ball), the less he pays them for each hand that doesn't make it off safely to Earth's surface before payday occurs at a later date. Rich bosses only get richer while worker compensation decreases as some unlucky cowhands are left behind on this frozen planet, leaving fewer and poorer workers overall with higher salaries compared to their coworkers' payouts after reaching the coveted cashier position of an ice-cattle driver in front of Earth's starry sky or even Mars! The boss is now hiring greenhorns for a final Ice Cattle Drive trip up on his Schwa Ranch, where they must survive parasitic insectoids and dangerous outlaws as well as unforgiving energy gradient challenges to earn new skills like ice-cattle driving.
