The Gunslinger Order must complete a quest that requires traveling beyond a mountain range before both sunsets, or they risk failing their mission and losing the lead character's companion who guides them through dangerous terrain. The adventure assumes players will work together to establish goals for themselves as well as reasons why they are in this hurry-filled state of mind (e.g., searching out missing supplies).
