The core rules cover missions in space exploration with crews of up to six people ranging from novice explorers (Level 1) all the way through skilled captains who specialize in deep-space operations such as research expeditions or exploring rare sites on other planets like Ceres. Players can create their own colonies, manage technology advancements and engage in political dealings within colony governments while also competing against rival companies with different agendas for interstellar resource exploitation to maximize profits from these new discoveries beyond Earth's solar system. Additionally, players will be able to work closely alongside mission control staff back at base camp on planet Earth who recruit the best recruits among their ranks as well provide remote assistance in engineering and research fields that are not available locally or face-to-face with other teams of explorers building settlements on planets like Mars within this universe's solar system.
