The Gygax 75 Challenge
This book is based on an article by Gary Gygax published less than 12 months after Dungeons & Dragons was released, describing his thinking at that time about creating and starting D&D campaign worlds. It provides achievable goals for a week-by-week program with advice to create basic structures such as buildings and rooms before moving onto more detailed areas like characters' personalities and backgrounds in the later chapters of the book. The instructions also suggest using cardboard, staples or pencil erasers if necessary when creating creases where two pages are joined together (page 2).
