The Terrain Cards represent my own favorite part of wargaming, scouting and reconnaissance. Looking at a hill or group of trees is one thing. Being right up on it is another. From a distance it may seem that a hill is a great position for a cannon, or that a small wood is a place to hide a unit of skirmishers. Until you get right in there you won’t know for sure. Are those trees close enough together for cover? Is there underbrush that could hamper your movement? You will have to send some scouts to check it out!
