The story is set in a desert town called Superior where the residents started experiencing mysterious disappearances of their horses, cattle, dogs etc at night time along with some people going missing as well during daytime hours only to be found dead or gone from sight later that evening by day. One possible cause for this phenomena could have been an enormous sandworm which was 30 feet long and lived in the desert area but has since disappeared after being fed upon a pile of lit dynamite sticks baited with its vibrations, causing it massive explosion where people were caught on fire or blown to pieces! The main protagonist is named Hexx as he sets out from Superior town determined not only for his revenge against this creature who ate away so many lives and destroyed the economy but also for finding a way back home.
