The game takes place in a post-apocalyptic wasteland where mutated flora are causing destruction on their own accord as they revel in celebrating Earth's demise with fireworks while the remnants of civilization try to survive amid chaos and terror that walk among them, including surviving robots who had once protected humans against dangers. Players assume roles playing robotic protectors tasked by society to defend nascent communities from those threatening human life through violence or other means before eventually becoming extinct themselves as a result of their own kind's folly in continuing the cycle after seeing what could happen when they failed protecting humanity with such devices like robots, and thus being resurrected for another attempt.
