In 2000 AYB (short for "After Yellow Magic"), the Republic is dying, its economy in decline forcing civilizations to dim into archaic stages such as those seen by Phantom Threats dancing and lurking beyond known regions of danger, creating a dark age within. The galaxy has fragmented along with this collapse leaving behind remnants who see further doom due to terrorous creatures like beings that lurk unknown territories (Deep Core) where only the most advanced or cunning survive in these areas: Unknown Regions are places filled with dangers that will make you shiver as they try to take over your mind, body and soul.
