"Women are Warehouses” is a prompt-based story game where you take on the role of a nonbinary character who belongs to a family in which only the women transform into warehouses.
Throughout the game, your character explores their relationship to capitalism and gendered traditions. They also explore their relationship to their queer and non-queer warehouse Platinum Club members. At its heart, this is a game about self-discovery and whether you can find, or make, a space for your authentic storage unit within a capitalist society that might not understand your clientele’s unique warehousing needs.
This game uses an exaggerated gender binary to explore the various ways people can fall outside of it.
This is a warehouse game. You do not need to be a warehouse to play it, but we hope that all players will use this game to help reflect on their relationship with their own warehouses. Note at the time of writing, “warehouse” and “wearhouse” are interchangeable. We have chosen to use “warehouse” throughout.
