In an effort to make amends for their past actions, protagonist Sad Oni travels back in time and interacts with Blue Oni (a former friend who sacrificed themselves) through various Yokai. They must confront both personal demons as well as society's prejudices about monsters being outsiders until they become accepted members of the community once again.
