Roll for Shoelaces is an RPG system based around role-playing games that allow groups of players with no prior experience in tabletop RPGs or extensive bookkeeping to create their own stories. The game requires minimal preparation and only involves the use of regular d6 dice, a piece of paper/pencil, beer (optional), 13 steps for creating world elements, party members, threats, and combat mechanics that can be completed quickly with no more than 10 minutes' prep time on average. However, it does come at an increased risk to players due to the level of absurdism involved in certain sections such as step 12 which contains mild mathematical equations requiring a helping hand from a skilled mathematician or game master (LM).
