The #ManilaeEncounters hashtag was a viral microfiction prompt on Twitter in February 2019. It
morphed into an urban fantasy adventure story after thousands of people used the hashtags, and now
serves as inspiration to add Manila-themed elements to roleplaying games set within Metro Manila's
cityscape or colonial era settings. Four supplemental articles by local authors have been added for
system neutrality purposes with titles such as "Cheap Goods" by Rei Na Bambao; Intramuros Mistakenly
by Phil Corpuz and Jami La R Nedjadi from the MeLoreDrama Podcast; The Sisters Three's In-Between
Spaces catalogs published in No Matter What, which focus on a city existing between East and West.
Additionally, free copies can be made available to request at any time for those who live within
third world countries or have difficulty affording them otherwise due to limited resources like
money: BJ will always include community copy wherever possible as well!
