In the fantasy role playing game Dwarf Fortress or Cities of Morrowind (which is based on Dwarven society), characters are made collaboratively by players in their shared world that they create themselves through conversation & decision-making, using pen/pencils to draw and erase paper for planning purposes. Characters' abilities can be taken from other games like Dungeons 2: Deeper into the Dungeon or Advanced Dungeons Breakthrough series (or even make up some of your own). The goal is having a good time together by creating interesting stories & adventures with characters you've created!
