I wrote 16 lyric games, each one found poetry based on the works of The Mountain Goats. These games probably aren't playable. They're strong though, and they're raw. What is a Lyric Game? Lyric Games are an emerging genre of games on Itch.io that, at least from my perspective, interrogate what it means for a game to be playable, and in turn proposes its own answers. Are these songs? No. They are based on songs, though. Go listen to The Mountain Goats. I am John Darnielle, and I want to read this zine, but I have no money.
