The Pathfinder Second Edition system offers an alternative heritage for those who want to become undead with a different option than the standard one, and it also includes new features such as Necrid Hardcore ancestry feats that can be selected in addition or instead of their current ones. It provides access to Alchemical elixirs at certain levels (1-19), including Elixir of Undeath which is available from level 1 onwards for players who choose the true undead option, and it also offers new Alchemical formulas such as alchemy enhancer that can be mixed with other ingredients in potions. The cover art by Shawn Pomminer features a fantasy setting where necromancers battle each other on an old battlefield while zombies emerge out of nowhere to attack them at nightfall.
