The Mare is a monster in Monsterhearts 2E who lives alone on the moon until they're found by humans sleeping at night with their curtains open to reveal them before going back into hiding during daylight hours. They possess powers that allow for traveling through dreams, and can alter perception within an individual's mind via manipulation of dream imagery without even awakening from sleepiness or loss thereof (hence why it is called the Mare). There are other monsterhearts in Monsterhears 2E who reside on different worlds such as The HunteD, Goblin, Succubus etc.
