Caring, loyal, ethereal, and generous. The Bride has deep affection and shows it by giving to those they care for. Their feelings are powerful but can push them into relationships where they are unappreciated or treated as a resource. The Bride is inspired by folklore about otherworldly brides such as the crane wife, the snail bride, and the woodcutter and the fairy. These brides often magically provide labor or resources for their mate. While some tales have the bride’s mate trap them into a relationship, this Skin assumes that the Bride is a willing participant in the relationship of their choice. Art by Elise Grifka Wander.
