This game combines elements from A Dark Song by Ennie nominee Christopher Bissellte (2018) on the Rite of Vengeance system to create a solo role-playing adventure that centers around trauma and revenge in postmodern magic, inspired by John Carpenter's 1982 film "The Thing." It has been updated for print editions edited at Exaltéd Funeral Parlor with cover art from Johan Nohr (Mork Borg) on the Rite of Vengeance system. The game provides safety tools to allow players who end early without losing a satisfying narrative ending and allows them maintain their emotional investment in character growth throughout gameplay, including an opportunity for character arcs that grow over time as they move through more scenarios within each level while gaining experience points (XP).
