They let me flex design skills without needing the programming know how to back it. I do have some decent programming skills though. Desert Bus Tycoon 2: The Long Haul was a week long game jam I did with a friend that kind of showcases what I can do in a short span of time (and it was made in GameMaker Studio, which I had barely touched before that week - what a wild learning experience).
