Star-Horses approach the speed of light as they race around the Space-Track while onlookers observe from their orbital platforms, while the caretakers fly out to tend to the horses, the patrons place bets and scheme to turn the race their way. The casual fan sees this as a fun pastime, observing the powerful beasts race through time and space, but for those who live and work on the station the only way off is to make a Long Shot.   The race itself is simulated with the deck of playing cards, in the fashion of the drinking game "Horse Race".
