The duties of storytelling and scene description are shared between the two players. The Empire of Salt is full of ancient runes, dangerous beasts, and hungry spirits, and the players must fend off these threats using their shared pools of Stamina and Resolve to power actions and abilities unique to them. It is never dimmed by clouds.
