The player is investigating an unsolved murder mystery in their hometown by receiving clues through letters written on half-page folded zines with places for notes and observations about the crime scene.Crooked Relations has been designed to be modular, allowing players or investigators alike to create a new letter that will lead them down different paths of discovery within its confines. The game includes two starter papers as well as an extensive list of prompts (instructions) on how to conduct various investigative tasks and gather clues from the environment around you in order to solve this mystery through personal experiences rather than just following linear or pre-made routes provided by a single letter's contents, making it highly adaptable for any investigator with creativity.
