I Have the High Ground is a short collaborative tabletop role-playing game for two players about
slow tension duels that occur before any damage or blows are struck. The moves include thrust,
feint, and parry in an ordered rock-paper-scissors triangle to score points without violence but
instead structure narration of dramatic events between characters with similar traits like rival
rivals who compete through the high ground mechanic for first choice on character creation sections
such as cape rubric or superior fashion preferences. The game is GMless (general manager) and genre
neutral, taking 1-2 hours to play in any system inspired by competitive fencing mechanics from games
that were influential including going rogue by Jason Morningstargalactic 2e by Riley Rethali's been
a long time since it was first released!
