The world beyond the stars is waiting for explorers who are willing to take incredible risks, even if they die on their journey - but only those with an insatiable desire will reach them all in time (except maybe as a future generation). Beyond that lie other worlds and galaxies containing new species of humans or aliens. After exploring these realms, the first interstellar civilizations would appear: either at our doorstep after decades-long fueling processes are completed to launch their journeys on Star Ships; an evolutionary step beyond existing sentient life forms into beings capable of transcending limitations imposed by mortality in space (in contrast with Earth's technological limits). However eventually there will be a Great Filter that prevents the galaxy from being filled, and when those barriers break through we shall have begun living out our destinies.
