This game includes a mystery-based storyline where the player is an investigator in Thaumaturgé (formerly known as The Hin/Hinx System), developed by Pandión Games. Players use their map to visit different locations, including classrooms and libraries at School of Magical Disciplines' Blackmire House for training purposes. They must solve a series of case puzzles using dice rolls or card draws in an effort that takes them 30-90 minutes depending on the player's time commitment level while exploring 13 unique areas such as student dormitories, cafeteria/kitchen area and gymnasium with classrooms attached to it. The goal is for players to create their own private map of clues at Blackmire House based off 6 cases they choose from by answering questions in a journal-type format using touchtones on dice or cards
