The player is a new Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) enthusiast who has watched Dungeon Craft on Youtube
make an argument that all math in D&D can be boiled down to "if you're good at something roll 8 or
more, ok for somethign 12 but if not great need 16". Inspired by this idea he creates his own simple
game where players always use the same scale: rolling a d20 (a 20-sided die), making armor reduce
damage. He also adds level scaling system and player facing features to make it feel like actual D&D
play while keeping things easy for beginners, with just 2 pages of character sheet including Armor
reduction feature! The game is called "8-12 16" or simply 8/16 as shown in the video where
Dungeon Craft made his argument. The goal was simple: create a fun and engaging Dungeons & Dragons
(D&D) themed experience that allows beginners to learn basic D&D rules while still feeling like
they're playing actual D&D!
