This setting genome was designed as an inspiration guidebook or starting point for referees who are playing one-off missions in the science fiction and fantasy game, Fallout Shelter Island Adventures (FIAS). The 'Pen is a wildlife rehabilitation facility operated under Varma Industries by another name. However, animals end up there due to being designated "inmates" instead of receiving proper recovery or rehabilitation procedures according to their species' natural behaviors which make them more difficult for FIAS investigators and scientists who attempt rescue missions with the intent but ultimately fail when encountering an inanimate object from a previous mission that was too well- defended. The investigation team assembles after being notified about these mysterious occurrences at this facility, focusing on finding out what is going wrong while maintaining utmost secrecy to avoid further attention or repercussions by other organizations and institutions who may have knowledge of the situation's impactability within their jurisdiction as FIAS has been designated a prohibited military operation due to its sensitive nature.
