ERRRNT, also known as "Errant," combines elements of tabletop RPGs inspired from classic PSX-era games such as Final Fantasy Tactics and Star Ocean with the tactical combat system popular in RPG titles. The game offers simple character creation based on equipment levels for a wandering adventurer who has been cursed to possess forbidden knowledge but lacks protection. Players can protect their secrets, grow stronger through challenges or wager contests using dice rolls, all while managing additional Dice Pools depending on success and failure outcomes of the gameplay mechanics in place such as adding drama points (Drama Pool) by achieving certain feats with successes that are added up to a maximum total determined randomly at game start.
