This game can be played as silly or seriously as you want - if you create an interesting world together and have fun, you have succeeded!
Example of where a Gods of Aorta game ended, with giant serpents that the God of Chaos had made, and a field of bricks from when the God of Peace *really* failed at building a wall
Example of where a Gods of Aorta game ended, with massive bramble plants and a summoned cat from the God of Nature, as well as a bustling city with no concept of a monarchy.
3+ people are needed - one to be the GM then at least 2 to be the Gods, as there aren't winners its easy for people to drop in and out throughout a game.
While there aren't winners, one God's goal may be be in opposition to another's - the players take turns suggesting a change to the world then roll to see how effective it was, the GM then physically draws the changes onto the map.
