Gauge is a work-in-progress (WIP) game—a minimalist, diceless RPG for games about surviving in a hostile environment with quick wits and scarce resources. In its current version (as of September 2022), players use three kinds of tokens—blood, breath, and bullets—to mitigate the risks of actions they describe taking. This game is currently on the back burner while I focus on completing other games closer to the finish line, but I hope to return to it at some point to refine it through playtesting, offer a more useful system reference document, and use it as the basis for a longer game in Nighttide.
