The Price Others Pay
You made a thing. Maybe it’s a game, maybe it’s a story, maybe it’s a poem, maybe it’s an essay or a comic or a poster. You want to share it with the world. Some people set a price for their stuff. Some people don’t. Everybody has opinions about the Right Way to Do It. How do you feel about it? This is that. I’m gonna apply it to games, but you can use it for anything. Real quick: If at any point in this ritual you realize that you’re ready to stop, that you’ve found the answer that works for you and you don’t need the rest of it, that’s totally cool. Take your thing and do what feels right, and let the public discourse roll on past you.
