In Palimpest, players collaborate on creating and discovering the development of civilizations
across thousands of years. They leave behind artifacts (artifacts), relics (relics) for future
generations by building subsequent civilizations based on what they've left behind. The game is
about taking lenses to look at layers hidden beneath a surface layer often unknown or misunderstood
history as well, giving way to architecture prowess in the past and then simple construction of
homes through time with advancing technology lost - forming an important palimpsest piece of world's
diverse histories that change over centuries while ideas are re-contextualized from one civilization
to another. The game is a collaborative 28 page full color book based on "I'm Sorry Did You Say
Street Magic" by Caro Asención, which was first published in 1978 and later republished as
Palimpest: Beyond Time with the original cover art of Madeleine Ember for this edition (2019).
