This game works well as a one shot but has enough playability to return to it for a few session. The game itself is based off of John Harper's "Blades in the Dark" and uses a streamlined rules light version of its mechanics, its perfect for quick play or as an introduction to the style of play that "Forged in the Dark" games utilize. To play you will need the character sheets at the back of this book and 4 six-sided dice (to share or per player), and an hour or more to tell stories.
